Vitable Vitamin Subscription Review
The good:
- High quality, research backed vitamins
- Variety of formulas available for different health goals
- Convenient subscription service
- TGA approved formulas
The not so good:
- Can be expensive
- Some powdered supplements are very sweet
- The number of supplements in your pack can be overwhelming
Who are Vitable?
Vitable are an Australian based supplement subscription service that believes great health should be simple. Their products are specifically designed for individual’s needs. They manufacture and package their products in Australia and are compliant with the Therapeutic Good Administration (TGA).
Their formulations are developed with the help of health experts, and they work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to source quality ingredients. These ingredients are regularly assessed for safety and quality. Their products are free from genetically modified ingredients, added lactose and gluten, meeting the increased consumer demand for allergen free products.
All claims made by Vitable are supported by scientific evidence, which they make available to their customers. As a bit of a research nerd myself, I love that Vitable has a strong emphasis on science and research and are transparent with their customers.
My Vitable Experience
Vitable’s website is incredibly user friendly. Their site directs you to an interactive online health survey, which includes simple questions about your diet, energy, sleep, exercise, and overall health goals. This survey essentially does the work of a Nutritionist or Naturopath in a very short amount of time, from the comfort of your own home. In under 10 minutes I completed the survey and was provided with a comprehensive nutritional supplement prescription that was specific to my goals.
I was recommended five supplements:
- Calcium Plus
- Iron
- Probiotic SB
- Ashwagandha
- Fish oil
Each supplement recommendation came with a detailed product explainer, highlighting the benefits, mechanism of action, dosage, and scientific research. Now I have no trouble taking five supplements in one go, however I know this would not suit everyone. The beauty with Vitable is that once you are provided with your prescription, you have the ability to choose all or only a few of the recommended supplements. If you feel the survey might have missed a specific goal of yours, all you need to do is revise your survey to adjust your goals and Vitable will adjust your prescription accordingly. Furthermore, if one month your goal is to increase your energy, but the next month you want to focus on skin health, you can take the survey again to adjust your needs. It is completely flexible to YOU.
Within one week, I received my first month of personalised supplements. The pack contained 30 personalised, compostable sachets, and the Vitable box itself was also recyclable (big tick for sustainability!) The supplement carton is cleverly designed to sit neatly on your counter and makes it easy to grab your vitamins and go. They also provide a brochure that includes clear information about your selected supplements as well as a 30-day calendar which you can tick off as you take your supplements. This is a fantastic way to increase compliance and makes taking supplements a lot more enjoyable.
In addition to the brochure, I downloaded the Vitable App. This is essentially like having a nutritionist in your pocket! The App allows you to set a daily reminder that prompts you to take your supplements and includes a point scoring system. Every time you take your supplements you earn points towards a monetary value which can be applied to further subscriptions (who doesn’t love a bit of incentive!) You can also access a weekly report where you can track changes in your sleep and energy. This system served as a great way to measure my progress and keep me accountable.
Formulations
Vitable Vitamin Pack Review
The quality and form of ingredients used in supplements are extremely important. There are many supplements on the market formulated with cheap ingredients which have limited efficacy, so I was thoroughly impressed with Vitable’s formulations. For example, their Calcium Plus is formulated with calcium citrate, which is a bioavailable form of calcium. It is also enriched with vegan vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) to increase the absorption of calcium in the bone. It is known that iron is better absorbed when paired with a source of vitamin C. Vitable uses a chelated iron, which closely resembles the iron found in food, and is enriched with vitamin C to promote better absorption.
Clean Greens Powder Review
Nutrition Overview of Clean Greens Powder
The Clean Greens Powder retails for $35.00 / month for 135g (15 serves). It claims to:
- Support digestion
- Packed with antioxidants
The formula is made with organic greens, and is dairy free, non-GMO, vegan, with no fillers, artificial sweeteners or added gluten. There are countless greens formulas on the market, with many claiming to support various aspects of health such as immunity, digestion and energy. Athletic Greens is a good example of this – a comprehensive formula of vitamins and minerals and plant foods that support your overall health. Compared, Clean Greens Powder is a simple formula that contains digestive support ingredients and antioxidants that contribute to your overall nutrient intake.
The primary ingredient is Sunfiber hydrolysed guar gum, which is a 100% water-soluble bean fibre with prebiotic benefits. Sunfiber is also low-FODMAP which means it supports digestion without causing excess gas or bloating. Clean Greens Powder also includes other prebiotics (more SCFAs!) such as organic green banana flour which has been shown to improve health outcomes by improving gut health.4
To aid in the digestion of proteins they have included bromelain which also has strong anti-inflammatory properties. Whilst studies are limited, aloe vera is known to promote digestion and reduce constipation, however, too much aloe vera can also result in diarrhoea. The amount in Clean Greens Powder is a supportive, low dose of 200mg.
The compound apigenin in celery seeds has strong antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and has been shown in studies to reduce high blood pressure and water retention in high doses.5 Clean Greens Powder contains a supportive amount at 250mg.
The organic greens blend (chlorella, spirulina, barley grass and wheat grass) makes up 18% of the formula and are all good antioxidants. Chlorella and spirulina are particularly good sources of iron and vitamin B12 and are both suggested to support heart health.6,7
Interestingly, Clean Greens Powder does not contain probiotics. Whilst prebiotics are excellent for the production of SCFAs, probiotics are also required for optimal gut health. The Healthy Chef Everyday Greens powder is a comparable formula to Clean Greens Powder, and whilst it does not contain Sunfiber, it does include gut-supportive probiotics, making it a more suitable option for those looking for probiotic support.
One dose is 3 teaspoons (9g) and provides 5g of dietary fibre, which is a good contribution towards daily fibre targets (men should be consuming 30g of fibre per day and women should be consuming 25g of fibre per day).
My Experience
The Clean Greens Powder mixes very well in water and is by far one of the best-tasting greens powders I have tried! Many others taste very ‘grassy’, however, the tropical flavour in combination with the cinnamon provides the perfect balance of sweetness. After taking this for one week, I noticed a big difference in my digestion. I also received comments from friends noting how good my skin looked (big tick!). However, like the protein powder, the container only provides 15 serves, which only lasted me two weeks. Consistency is key with greens, so you would need to purchase two containers to have enough supply for one month to ensure maximum efficacy. Slightly better value for money can be found with The Healthy Chef Everyday Greens powder which contains 37 servings for $72.95.
Clean Greens Powder is a good formula for those who are looking for daily digestive and antioxidant support. However, if you are looking for a more comprehensive formula, I would recommend using a multi-nutrient formula such as Athletic Greens or Good Green Vitality by Nuzest, both of which also include gut-supportive probiotics.

Collagen Creamer Review
Nutrition Overview of the Collagen Creamer
The 150g Collagen Creamer (vanilla) retails for $29.00 / month. It claims to:
- Support hydration and elasticity in skin
- Strengthen hair and nails
The dairy-free Collagen Creamer contains hydrolysed marine collagen, organic coconut milk, inulin (chicory root) natural vanilla flavour, monk fruit extract and guar gum. As a pescatarian, I have found that many collagen products on the market contain bovine sources, so I was pleased that Vitable uses marine sources. The marine collagen is sustainably sourced from wild fish and is easily absorbed by the body. In fact, research supports the use of hydrolysed marine collagen for improved skin elasticity and hydration.1
The second major ingredient is organic coconut milk powder, which gives the product its creamy texture. It is also a good source of fat. Inulin in the form of chicory root is an excellent source of prebiotic fibre (2.3g per 10g serve) and is often used in health products to thicken formulas along with guar gum which is a plant-based fibre and thickening agent. What is prebiotic fibre? Prebiotic fibre contributes to the production of short chain fatty acids (SCFAs) which are beneficial for gut health. Monk fruit is a low GI (glycaemic index) sweetener alternative which means it does not cause a large spike in blood sugar. They also use a natural vanilla flavour which means this product has a low sugar content of only 0.5g per 10g serve.

My Experience
The suggested serving is 10g (two heaped teaspoons) and it can be mixed into coffee and tea as it is heat stable, as well as smoothies. I loved putting it into my daily coffee – it added a really nice vanilla/caramel flavour. Whilst it did not always dissolve entirely, I also tried it in smoothies where it mixed in really well. Of all the flavoured collagen powders I have tried, this is one of the best! Being a ‘creamer’ product, it is easy to incorporate into your daily routine as it can be added to most beverages, making this highly accessible to everyone.
The Collagen Creamer is well-priced, compared to other marine collagens such as The Healthy Chef Marine Collagen ($74.95 for 240g). The Vitable formula is similar to the Does and Co Collagen Creamer ($47.99), however Dose and Co use bovine collagen instead of marine collagen, and they do not include any prebiotic fibre. The Dose and Co Marine Collagen (200g for $51.99) also uses hydrolysed collagen, with the addition of vitamin C for absorption. Whilst Vitable’s formula does not contain a source of vitamin C. Vitamin C boosts the absorption of collagen and enhances the skin hydration benefits. I recommend pairing this Collagen Creamer with Vitable’s vitamin C capsules to further support collagen production, or simply add the collagen to a smoothie with berries.

Plant Protein Review
Nutrition Overview of Vitable's Plant Protein
Vitable’s Plant Protein is a refined-sugar-free and non-GMO formula made with organic pea protein isolate, natural vanilla flavours, digestive enzymes (bromelain), monk fruit extract, stevia extract and guar gum.
The 375g, 15-serving pouch retails for $35.00 / month. One serving is two heaped tablespoons which provide 25g of protein. This is a great amount of protein per serving, particularly for a plant-based protein. However, as someone who uses protein every day in smoothies, I went through this pouch very quickly (within two weeks). On subscription, I would need two packs to make it through at least one month, so keep this in mind if you are someone who consumes protein daily.
Pea protein contains all nine essential amino acids, which are important for muscle growth and repair. The digestive enzyme bromelain (sourced from pineapple) is a great addition to the formula. Bromelain is a well-researched enzyme that supports the breakdown of proteins, reducing any bloating or discomfort commonly associated with some protein powders. Like the Collagen Creamer, the use of monk fruit as well as stevia extract means this protein powder is low GI and low sugar.
My Experience
The powder mixed well in my smoothies, and even alone in water. The taste was smooth, not chalky, and not overly sweet either – it was comparable to Nuzest’s Pea Protein which is a high-quality protein powder. I felt great taking the protein, no bloating or discomfort thanks to the bromelain and I was very satisfied after my smoothies.
The price point is reasonable, with competing plant-based proteins ranging from $35.00 for 250g (Nuzest). However, as I ran out after two weeks, I believe better value for money can be found with brands such as The Healthy Chef.

Magnesium Night Powder Review
Nutrition Overview of Magnesium Night Powder
The Magnesium Night Powder retails for $29.00 / month for 105g (30 servings). It claims to support sleep and muscle relaxation and is vegan, non-GMO, with no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners, and is free from gluten, dairy, artificial additives and preservatives. The formula includes magnesium bis-glycinate, natural passionflower extract, glycine and glutamine and is naturally flavoured with real berries.
Magnesium is a mineral required in the body for over 300 enzymatic reactions. It is a key nutrient for nervous system function and is one of the first nutrients that is depleted when we are stressed. Magnesium in the form of bis-glycinate is water soluble and has better intestinal absorption when compared to other forms of magnesium, meaning it is more bioavailable in the body.2
Passionflower extract has been found to have positive benefits on sleep, anxiety and other nervous system disorders.3 Glutamine is an essential amino acid and is a precursor to GABA which is an inhibitory neurotransmitter (calming). The formula provides 300mg which is a supportive amount. Glycine is another essential amino acid and is essential for the creation of the antioxidant glutathione.
Each serving provides the equivalent of 200mg of elemental magnesium and 2000mg of passionflower extract. Typically, I would recommend a magnesium supplement with at least 300mg of magnesium per dose, however, this formula is effective.
My Experience
As directed, I took one serve (3.5g) before bed and I slept very well after only taking it for a few days! I did find the berry flavour to be overly sweet, yet it would be well suited to those who are not used to taking powdered supplements or who don’t like taking capsules and want something sweet before bed.
Whilst this is a good formula, there is better value-for-money magnesium supplements on the market such as the Healthy Chef Mageniusm(500g for $79.95). This formula also provides the equivalent of 400mg of elemental magnesium for those who are looking for more nervous system support.

Is Vitable Safe?
Yes, Vitable products are safe. Vitable products undergo rigorous safety and quality testing in Australia, adhering to strict regulations. The daily vitamin sachets are individually packaged in a facility licensed by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). The TGA is the regulatory authority in Australia responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and efficacy of therapeutic goods.
Vitable’s product formulations are designed in collaboration with health experts to ensure effectiveness and optimal absorption. Additionally, all Vitable products exclusively feature ingredients from a TGA pre-approved list, known for their safety and quality.
It’s also important to note that Australian TGA laws are relatively strict compared to some other countries to uphold public safety, maintain high healthcare standards, and ensure that therapeutic goods meet international regulatory benchmarks. These measures are in place to safeguard the health and well-being of the Australian population, promote the quality and efficacy of healthcare products, and facilitate global recognition of Australian products in the international market.
Is Vitable worth it?
Vitable offers a convenient, high-quality solution to those who want to improve their health but may be unsure of where to start. In addition to their quality formulations, the recommended dose of each supplement aligns with therapeutic doses or contributes sufficiently towards recommended intakes. This means that customers are taking supplements that actually work. Pricing varies according to the number of supplements chosen but can cost as little as 20c per day, per supplement making this an affordable service.
One of my personal health goals was to increase my energy and after two weeks I noticed a significant difference which was extremely pleasing to see. In addition to the physical benefits I received, I also found a sense of accomplishment at the end of the month. In a society where everything is so fast-paced and taking care of your health can feel overwhelming, having a service like Vitable provides an easy, convenient solution that allows you to take control of your health goals.
I would highly recommend this service to anyone who is interested in supplementing to promote their health but is unsure of where to start. Most importantly however, Vitable makes taking supplements fun!
