Hello Fresh – Family-Friendly Plan
Hello Fresh’s Family-Friendly Plan offers wholesome recipes that are dietitian-approved and designed for families with young kids.
At the time of writing (March 2021) a family plan size is for 4 people and you can select the number of recipes 3, 4, 5. There are 26 different recipes to choose from each week (including a variety of vegetarian, fish and classic house-hold recipes) of which 8 recipes are tagged as ‘family-friendly’. Meals can be further customised based on individual dietary requirements – Naturally Gluten-Free, no pork, no fish and calorie smart (<650 calories).
The Family-friendly meals are basic and easy to adapt to suit kids taste preferences. Meals include familiar flavours great for families to enjoy and are dietitian-approved, based around a balanced meal structure.
Ingredients are fresh however to hit the Australian Dietary Guidelines for vegetable intake I would advise adding an extra serve of vegetables to meals. Some meals are larger in portion size and include calories dense sauces yet these are easy to remove and instead use simple healthy alternatives.
