10 health food products for $29 sounds like a good deal, so I did some investigating to see how much the items would cost if I bought them individually from the supermarket.
- Box of 5 Mayver’s Health Bars retails for $5.95 at Woolworths
- 50g bag of Table of Plenty Rice Cakes retails for $4.00 at Woolworths
- 150g bag of Proper Crisps retails for $6.49 at Harris Farm
- Kuranda Muesli retails for around $9.50 online
- Hemp Protein sachets approximately $4.99 each
- 150g jar of Pimp My Salad Parm retails for $9.00 at Woolworths.
These items alone exceed the total cost of the GoodnessMe Box however, you end up getting better value for money as you are buying larger quantities. If you are simply looking to try new products that you may have not come across before, and if you don’t mind trying one bar or one flavour of a product, then this box is a great option! But, if you want to share the snacks with a partner or family, you will get better value buying direct from the supermarket. Not to mention, I went through my snacks within a week! Buying in bulk allows me to have enough stock in the pantry to last months as a time, which is far more realistic!
It is also worth noting that their 12-month subscription offer of $25/box isn’t a significant saving when compared to the 6-month subscription ($26), which I find disappointing.
