Product Description

Marley Spoon is all about convenience and inspiring people to cook recipes from scratch in 6 easy steps. Marley Spoon offers two plans: 2 person and 4 person. For each plan, you can choose from 2, 3, 4, 5 meals per week.

The box can be made strictly vegetarian, excluding all animal products.

At the time of writing (October 2023), there are 12+ vegetarian recipes to choose from with a range of recipes that include quality ingredients.

Nutrition Rundown

Meals are macronutrient-balanced and include a variety of vegetables, whole grains and a source of plant-based protein. We love how Marley Spoon makes the most of highlighting seasonal produce in their vegetarian recipes and includes plant-based proteins such as v2foods Plant-based mince, Fable Mushroom ‘Meat’, Buds burger patties, Syndian Falafel, So Co tofu and Tempeh, vegan cheeses, Birds Eye Plant-Based Chicken, Legumes and whole grains. Vegetarian recipes usually pair multiple plant-based proteins in one dish to ensure the meal is a complete protein source.

Some vegetarian recipes consider ‘healthy’ eating requirements such as low-calorie (250-550 calories/per serve) and reduced-carb (less than 25g of carbs/per service). The full ingredient list for each product is also available.

Tip: Ensure the recipes you select are high in protein, with approximately 17g-20g of protein per serving. If a meal lacks plant-based protein you can choose to add a sprinkle of raw nuts and seeds, hemp seeds, roasted chickpeas or chia seeds to your meal.
